Pet Nutrition Lead at Naturo Natural Pet Foods

Author Profile - Victoria Kerr

Growing up on a farm and with family pets (my first birthday present being a black Labrador puppy called ‘Bruno’), my love for animals started from a young age. However, at school and university, I loved science and food which led me to studying food and nutrition for my degree.

It wasn’t until my placement year at university, when an opportunity to work with Naturo arose, that my career path took an exciting turn into pet nutrition. Since completing my degree in Food and Nutrition with Ulster University, I joined Naturo full time looking after all things pet nutrition, while completing a post graduate certificate in companion animal nutrition through University of Illinois, learning from the world renown lecturers Dr Kelly Swanson and Dr Maria Godoy. One thing that excites me so much about nutrition is the power of prevention. With a good, healthy, well balances diet and lifestyle, I believe many health issues can be prevented or incidence
minimised.

My role at Naturo is to ensure our recipes are formulated to meet
FEDIAF’s nutritional guidelines, so your pet gets the correct balance of
nutrition to help them thrive. I am also passionate about educating pet parents
about the benefits of health, natural nutrition for their pets.
