Taurine is an essential amino acid for cats, meaning they must get it through their diet. Taurine is important to support healthy eyesight, heart function, bile formation, and reproduction.

It is of course best to feed your pet a diet developed for their lifestage however, we would expect no adverse consequence from the inadvertent use of a diet designed for an adult cat. If there is any doubt about your feline being well, please contact your vet and have your cat examined for any signs of ill health. Better safe than sorry!

This will vary depending on your cat’s weight, activity level and age. For example, for an adult cat that weighs around 4kg, you would expect to be feeding them between two and three pouches per day. Always check the feeding guidelines of the pouch you are feeding your cat, feeding guides can differ depending on the diet due to different calorie contents. Please speak with a trusted vet for more information regarding feeding.

For indoor cats, they are generally neutered and less active than outdoor cats. Therefore, we have created a recipe specifically for indoor cats, which you can find here.

Our indoor sterilised recipe contains less calories, to help with weight control of a less active feline. Furthermore, the presence of Yucca in our recipes helps with stool odour.

Feeding allowances vary depending on what age and weight your cat is.

Please see the Naturo feeding guide to see the recommended daily amount. Feeding guidelines are only a guide as every cat is different. If your cat is putting on excess weight or losing weight when feeding the recommended amount, adjust the amount of food you are feeding accordingly. If you are concerned, speak to a trusted vet.
